PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BVP partnered with the UM Crash Injury Research Center and BMW in producing the BMW Assist story video when the new technology was released. BMW of North America entered into a partnership with the William Lehman Injury Research Center at UM/Jackson to create a nationwide multidisciplinary accident research project (ARP), which partnered BMW's esteemed engineers with trauma experts in the medical field.

Together, the teams conducted bio-chemical accident analysis that aid in the determination and causes of injuries in crashes. Their findings, in turn, are used to develop new safety features in future BMW vehicles
